Hey, criminals, did you know lawless anarchy is now the norm in Montana? It’s true, and the latest anecdotal evidence that lawless anarchy is now the norm can be seen in this Missoulian story about some Montana residents north of Missoula getting terrorized by their meth-smoking neighbor for over a year until he got fucked up one night and drove his truck into their home.
The article is written by Griffin Smith, a Missoulian reporter who appears to be on the collapse-of-the-criminal-justice-system beat. Here’s Lake County’s Sheriff, Donald Bell, explaining why his office is comprised of a bunch of worthless cut-outs who seem to think their job is telling citizens of Montana why NOTHING can be done to protect them. From the link:
Lake County Sheriff Don Bell told the Missoulian that the sheriff’s office did as much as they could, including attempting to revoke Ailport’s bail and raising it to $50,000 before he bailed out for the last time.
…
Even when Ailport did commit crimes against the family, the consequences did not keep him in jail long. Part of the reason is because resources in Lake County are slim.
The county jail is so overcrowded that officials must book and release criminal suspects. One local mental health physician said the area needs more awareness of treatment programs and a physical space for detoxification.
To reiterate what is being said here–and what I HAVE BEEN SAYING FOR YEARS–is that when there are NO STICKS (consequences) and NO CARROTS (treatment options), the result is lawless anarchy.
Welcome to Montana!
If Montana jails are full, what did our legislators do last session to alleviate this problem? Well, these fuckheads (legislators) who think they’re warriors in a culture war simply wrote a check to Core Civic in order to dump a bunch of inmates on Arizona. Did it work? No, of course it didn’t.

From the link:
Overcrowding at state prison and county jail facilities in Montana continues to be a problem despite the state’s recent transfer of 120 inmates to a private prison in Arizona, officials with the Montana Department of Corrections told lawmakers Tuesday.
The transfer of 120 male inmates to CoreCivic’s Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, Arizona last year — the result of an almost $4 million annual appropriation that Republican lawmakers slipped into a prison infrastructure bill. But, according to department data, about 345 state inmates are still being held in county facilities while they await placement elsewhere, including 103 who are in jail pending free space at the state prison.
“[The transfer] absolutely did help, however we’re so far behind that it didn’t fix it,” Gootkin said at a meeting of the Legislature’s Law and Justice Interim Committee.
As of Tuesday, the Montana State Prison has an inmate population of 1,562, almost 40 prisoners more than its operational capacity. The state’s contracted facilities, a CoreCivic prison in Shelby and the Dawson County Correctional Facility in Glendive — are both hovering around or over capacity as well, depending on the day.
Do you ever wonder if the people who MAKE our laws and ENFORCE our laws are functionally retarded? I used to give these alleged adults with law-making and law-enforcing power the benefit of the doubt, but lately it appears there’s been a significant and collective decline in the cognitive abilities of people in positions of power and influence. Do they know something we don’t? Why have they stopped even PRETENDING to do the jobs they are supposed to do?
Once upon a time doing a bunch of dangerous drugs and then shooting at your neighbor’s house with a gun would have PUT you in jail and KEPT you jail for more than a few days. Not anymore.
On July 13, 2023, Ron Schiele said he heard shots being fired after returning home from work and texted Blixt, who said it wasn’t him. The two said goodnight.
Roughly an hour later, Ron said he woke to more firing, and this time Blixt told him it was Ailport taking shots from his house.
Blixt recalled the exact time to the Missoulian: 12:26 a.m. He said he used his night-vision scope and saw Ailport pointing his gun at the Schieles’ house.
He said he watched Ailport fire a hunting rifle at the Schiele house before turning the barrel straight toward him from about 135 yards away.
“And next thing you know he takes a shot, WOP, right at my house,” Blixt said. “I said, ‘Oh my god, he just shot at my house.’”
Blixt said he called 911 and asked if he could shoot back while Ailport continued firing. He said Lake County dispatch told him to shelter in place and that shooting back could land him in prison.
And the response from Lake County’s “law enforcement”? This (emphasis mine):
Ailport was not held for long, however. He was released less than 10 hours after his arrest. The court ordered a restraining order for his neighbors and required Ailport to stay off drugs.
It is unclear if he received a mental health evaluation as required by the court to leave jail. He was required to take drug tests.
To the Schiele family, it appeared Ailport was free to keep harassing the neighborhood. Ron said the incident solidified his opinion that the Lake County Sheriff’s Office was not going to take action.
“My faith in that whole system is nil,” he said. “So if you ever have a problem, don’t depend on someone to come and help you. They will show up after the fact.”
Realizing you can’t depend on that lawman response you’ve been conditioned to expect is an important step on the path to accepting that we ALL live in a cartoon clown world now.

In my role as the Homeless Outreach Coordinator for the Poverello Center here in Missoula I told plenty of POSITIVE stories about well-trained first responders, including cops, who successfully deescalated volatile situations where I was present and personally saw what well-trained law enforcers are capable of, so don’t assume I’m just lazily cop-bashing here. In fact, in some of my recent conversations I’m STILL ADVOCATING for MORE resources for law enforcement, but maybe I should shift to advocating for a TOTAL REVAMP of the power that resides in the Sheriff’s Office.
How many more examples of Montana being a failed state and law enforcement not doing their job do you need to hear? Montana is in a real crisis, our criminal justice system is a total fucking joke, our legislators are functionally retarded, and our media is garbage. Will you continue sitting back and watching this dumpster fire burn, or will you start seeing the value of supporting truth tellers like me?
Stay tuned, tomorrow I’m going presidential with my disdain for the characters pretending to run this clown world and unveiling my Black Star Rating System for navigating the Black Pill Pys-Op we’re supposed to be getting demoralized by.
