The people at the top REALLY, REALLY want us fighting each other at the bottom. That is why #PedoHitler, aka President Biden, looked like this Thursday evening:

The people with brains still capable of deploying critical thinking and discernment were quick to see the striking visual similarity to this:

If you’re having trouble placing this image, it’s from V for Vendetta, a movie that takes place in 2020 and has a virus/vaccine as a major plot line. Nothing to see here, I’m sure.
It is the year 2020. A virus runs wild in the world, most Americans are dead, and Britain is ruled by a fascist dictator who promises security but not freedom. One man stands against him, the man named V, who moves through London like a wraith despite the desperate efforts of the police. He wears a mask showing the face of Guy Fawkes, who in 1605 tried to blow up the houses of Parliament. On Nov. 5, the eve of Guy Fawkes Day, British schoolchildren for centuries have started bonfires to burn Fawkes in effigy. On this eve in 2020, V saves a young TV reporter named Evey from rape at the hands of the police, forces her to join him, and makes a busy night of it by blowing up the Old Bailey courtrooms.
Elections will be held in just two months and plenty of citizens still think our election infrastructure is just fine. It isn’t, but saying anything along those lines will put you in the category half the country just got put in by #PedoHitler.
Good times in America. Have a GREAT Labor Day weekend!
The political party duopoly is both unconstitutional and destructive of democracy, liberty, social welfare, equality…and the biosphere. Binary thinking is a pox on America.
But “#PedoHitler”????? Really? Is that critical thinking? He’s appeared awfully creepy in public appearances with women and kids, but “pedo” — like claims of Missoula County election fraud, a massive global conspiracy to imoculate people with a vaccine for evil purposes that depend on who is making the claim — are not based on reality. Those don’t represent “critical thinking.” Critical thinking, of course, isn’t all thinking that criticizes; it means applying evidence, logic and reason to examination of questions, in a manner that subjects propagated, officially promoted, religious, political, philosophical, scientific, and commonly accepted precepts and truisms, and the institutions maintaining them, to strict scrutiny.
There’s plenty of shit to lay at Biden’s doorstep, such as the racist and inhumane, massive incarceration industrial complex just for starters. It’s a great leap, though, to paint him as a Hitler. At the risk of being misunderstood as a binary thinker, however, I’ll just contrast that with the mindset and conduct of Orange Man that uncannily parallels the mindset and conduct of Hitler in the fetal stage of Hitler’s development. Most timely in that regard would be review of Hitler’s 1923 “Beer Hall Putsch” in which Hitler fomented an assault on the Reichstag by Nazis. Many casualties resulted, the putsch failed, and the participants were tried, convicted and imprisoned. Convicted of Treason, Hitler was sentenced to only five years imprisonment, actually served only eleven months, and while in prison, dictated ‘Mein Kampf’ to prison mate Rudolf Hess. Jan. 6 was akin to Hitler’s Beer Hall Putsch. Like Hitler, he assumes the posture of a nationalist patriot persecuted for “fighting sovialism.” Like Hitler, he mocks the disabled and his lies know no limits either in numerosity or magnitude of falsity. His sycophantic followers embrace the scapegoating of Democrats, immigrants et al and maintain the superiority (“exceptionalism”) of white American culture. Ivana swore in a diborce affidavit that he kept on his bedstand, and frequently read, a book of Hitler’s speeches.
Now, that’s more an argument in suppoet of an opinion (“Trump is a fascist”) than one posiiting a “truth” per se. And one could find many more differences than similarities between Hitler and Trump, which are arguably useful in countering the image of Trump as Hitler, but not so useful for refuting the charge that he’s a fascist.
But I’m going down an unnecessary rabbit hole. Critical thinking has never been more vital than it is now, and there ought not be sacred cows.
Keep up the pressure and illumination of that which the ruling elites shroud in darkness.
