Introducing William Skink’s Backyard Megaphone Monologue Series?

by Travis Mateer

While I wait for Emily Brock’s THE LONGEST TABLE programming to begin its civil discourse crusade with homeless people on the courthouse lawn, I’m seriously considering launching a similar effort, except I’m not interested in a two-way dialogue, hence the MONOLOGUE in the name of my educational series.

What I’m envisioning is a thirty minute educational session with my amplified free-speech maker at locations of my choosing, or at the suggestion of like-minded people eager to remind the budding authoritarians that we still have Constitutionally protected rights to things like free speech.

But just announcing the locations of my BMM series wouldn’t be much fun, and I think fun is going to be an important factor in maintaining morale in the weeks and months to come.

So instead being explicit, I’ll be poetic, and write some lines of poetry to hint at where my BMM educational opportunity will be popping up next.

Here’s today’s if I decide to go through with it.

once my work made them smile
open hands and money piles
now they cringe when I poem
for the nasty I can show 'em

Keyboard Warrior Nathan Stephens Identifies Outsider Threat To Mask Mandates, Mocks Accordingly

by Travis Mateer

I want to support the GOOD Missoulians who care SO DEEPLY about our community they maintain a keyboard-warrior mentality when it comes to community threats, like the awful person who moved to Missoula from Missouri four years ago as a sleeper agent now activated to thwart the VERY SCIENTIFIC powers of the mighty mask.

Don’t worry, terrified Missoulians, Nathan Stephens is ON THE CASE identifying this threat on Twitter:

The person Groundswell Nate is scrutinizing is Amy Livesay and you can read about her here.

Yes, she moved here from Missouri, and is now involved in her local community. GASP! If Groundswell Nate is so upset by this, I wonder what he thinks about Maggie Bornstein, the young activist who moved here from Massachusetts around the same time and is now trying to smear a Missoula City Council candidate as a homophobe.

So who is this Nate guy? Well, he does web design stuff, like this look for Jean Curtiss, and his wife is (or was) involved in public/private small business incubator stuff at the dumpster fire known as the University of Montana. From the link:

Jennifer Stephens brings 10+ years of grassroots and formal economic development experience to her role as Missoula SBDC Regional Director. A Montana native, Jennifer earned a B.A. in Journalism from Gonzaga University and an MBA at the University of Montana. Jennifer has been a business advisor with the Blackstone LaunchPad at the University of Montana for the past two years during which she has taken part in over 530 meetings with the nearly 650 entrepreneurs registered with the LaunchPad.

Together with her husband, Nathan Stephens, she co-founded the Montana Web Designers & Developers Association in 2005 to enable tech professionals across the state to network and grow their businesses. She continues to assist with client management for her husband’s business, Groundswell Media Productions. With hands-on business management experience and training, Jennifer has a passion for working with small and micro enterprise businesses as well as helping new startups see the potential for future growth. Recently recruited as an advisor to Missoula’s Kiva Zip program, Jennifer is excited to help Montana business access an additional funding stream through microlending.

After seeing how Groundswell Nate and his Twitter commiserators were lamenting amongst themselves over us stupid bio-medical threats who desperately want to harm other people with our callous disregard for human life, I made an offer which he promptly refused:

Crestfallen at this denied opportunity to converse (not podcast) in real life, I shifted my focus to other things, like what to do with a video of a REAL threat to public safety I recorded yesterday and called 911 about.

But that’s a tale for another day.

I only hope Groundswell Nate has enough outrage left in his outrage tank when it starts dawning on him what’s actually going down in this Engen-guided Zoom Town.
