SAMUEL REDFERN IS IN IMMEDIATE DANGER INSIDE THE MISSOULA COUNTY JAIL!!! – by Travis Mateer

When I heard that Samuel Pascal Redfern was in jail last night I had to see for myself, since the quality of “commentary” online was what you would expect.

I went to the jail detention portal, where names are listed, and confirmed that Sam was officially booked on a “Fed Hold” at 8:57pm by the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office:

After taking this screenshot I got what little sleep I could, but I felt uneasy. I’ve known Sam Redfern has been targeted since February, when Griffin Smith reported on the raid that put Sam in the hospital, but what I learned today from two people with direct knowledge of this case–someone who was present during his arrest, and a member of Sam’s family–I am VERY worried that Samuel Redfern may have already suffered a medical emergency IN JAIL!

The news report from February didn’t specify the medical reason for Redfern’s hospital visit, but his family member did because those in the family who HAD direct communication with Sam when he first arrived in jail told me that he was describing symptoms of cardiac distress over the phone, and that’s coming from someone in the family with a professional medical background.

After contacting the jail repeatedly about their concerns, and not being satisfied with the claim that Sam had seen a nurse, communication from the jail was cut off.

So the family called 911 to report their alarm that Sam could be having a medical emergency inside the jail and they KEPT calling 911 until THEY cut off communication.

There’s more I could say, like the report that the FBI were involved in the arrest, and that the raid in February involved something called a “sneak peek” warrant, but getting this information out NOW is more important, and that’s because the family has additional concerns that Sam could be moved somewhere out of Missoula where they will have even less information about what’s happening to him.

Don’t worry, readers of the most dangerous blog in Big Sky Country, as long as I’m not there with him, in jail, I’ll stay on this story as it develops.

Thanks for reading, and please say a prayer for Sam Redfern. Regardless of what you may feel about his political work and strong opinions, no one deserves to have the law used against them like this.
