Earth Horse Beats Fire Horse Dead, Dead, Dead…Chapter 6

Today I’m posting Chapter 6 of Earth Horse Beats Fire Horse Dead, Dead, Dead, titled “Trojan Horse Haunted“, at my Substack, so check it out.

The image variation for today’s post is inspired by Brian West, my former co-worker and alleged “friend” who helped his employer make the case that I’m a threat worthy of a restraining order because I was being accused, at the time, of slashing tires in an incident where Mr. West’s car was damaged, along with a bunch of other cars, near the library downtown.

When I heard this rumor about me back in January–a rumor, I will note, being spread by people associated with my former collaborator on the documentary, Engen’s Missoula–I went to the police station to try and shut it down, but a few months later the claims were used in a civil process that don’t require anything like “evidence” in order to convince a judge (like Vannatta) that I need to be restrained.

It’s THAT employer restraining order, and one of those Substack posts, that will be the basis for a new felony charge against me, which will be dropping next week after I tell Mac Bloom to take his plea offer and shove it.

Since I do better investigations than local cops, I believe the suspect who slashed tires is a dude who bounces between Ravalli County and Missoula by the name of Michael Maucher.

Why do I think Michael Maucher is capable of slashing tires in Missoula? Maybe because he was arrested recently for slashing tires in Hamilton:

A 33-year-old-man is facing criminal mischief charges after a tire-slashing spree in Hamilton that damaged 11 vehicles.

According to court documents, Hamilton police arrested Michael Patrick Maucher on Aug. 20 after matching him as the suspect captured in surveillance footage.

On Aug. 19, the Hamilton Police Department received reports that cars parked at multiple businesses near Copper King Court had slashed tires.

Court documents detail each tire had a puncture of about one inch.

The damages total more than $4,000.

Hamilton Police Chief Steve Snavely told MTN last week that the community was crucial in helping officers find and arrest the suspect.

Despite my best efforts, local law enforcement never showed me the video surveillance that they showed my former co-workers, which made it difficult to defend myself as my former employer collaborated with the state legislator to impose severe restrictions on me. I filed a motion for more time to defend myself from these accusations, but the judge denied that motion, so now that denial is part of the appeal that will be officially filed with the Montana Supreme Court next week.

Last November–two months after Leah Hartley was found dead in an irrigation ditch, with Brian West as law enforcement’s main “Person of Interest”–Brian texted me to ask a big favor.

Why did Brian need me to turn on his computer? Since he’s a registered sex offender who was, at the time, being monitored by Missoula Probation and Parole, Brian could have gotten into trouble if he was late returning from his vacation, so turning on his computer, and getting a video on YouTube to play, made it look like he was home from vacation when he was NOT actually home.

While I regret complying with this request, and tried to inform Probation and Parole about it months later (they didn’t want to hear about it), Brian determined my hours at work, and I was broke, so I did him this favor one month before my employment was terminated.

While I’m glad the documentary Engen’s Missoula exists, I’m not glad it put me into the orbit of people I should have known better to trust, and I don’t like how the documentary we made depicted Brandon Bryant, who I have since apologized to for allowing his “friend” to throw him under the bus like that. I may have more to say about this next week, so stay tuned.

If I’m found guilty on TWO criminal charges of violating restraining orders, I’ll be facing up to two years in prison, untold monetary fines, and probably many months, if not years, of “supervision”, which I’ll also have to pay for. Until those consequences come down on me, though, I’m going to continue demonstrating what it looks like to be a man of courage and principles who will proudly wear his criminal history like a fine suit, since it doesn’t entail drug trafficking or sexual assaulting a 15 year old girl.

And maybe, if I’m lucky, Office Castro will finish his thorough investigation into the missing Lego sign before my first trial arrives.
