I was biking over the Higgins Bridge earlier today when I noticed a visible pile of trash located on the property owned by Cole Bergquist and “new” investor, Hawkins Development, a Boise-based development group that Bergquist had to negotiate with Department of Justice in order to bring on to this massive condo project on prime real estate in the heart of downtown Missoula.
Hawkins, a Boise-based development group, is partnering with Bergquist on the project after he removed former business partners Aaron and Jadon Wagner from the deal. Last year, Aaron Wagner was indicted by a federal grand jury on felony counts of wire fraud and money laundering and pleaded not guilty in May, the Missoulian reported. Bergquist said he negotiated with the Department of Justice, multiple banks and investors to switch the project’s partners.
“It was a super heavy lift, and something my team has really been celebrating,” he said. “Finding new partners, bringing them in and getting the buyout approved is really breathing new life into this project.”
Do I share Bergquist’s excitement? No, unlike our local law enforcement, I don’t benefit from this property the way they do, which was evident when I saw about a half dozen cops standing around “training”.
Missoula law enforcement have been regularly using this private property for training purposes after its interior became a transient flophouse they had to clear out, something that’s gone unreported by local legacy media.
When I did a little garbology in the pile of trash visible from the bridge, what I found seemed like the kind of stuff law enforcement might be curious about. Turns out, I was wrong.
I put a piece of paper over the face of the young girl wrapped in a blue towel, so you will have to take my word that she appeared to be no older than 10 or 11 years old. The context of drinking and gambling gave me the distinct impression that I should let professionals assess what this material could be.
This picture includes some faces of men I did NOT cover with paper because they have nothing to worry about, apparently. The professional assessment from the cop at the police station, who I gave this “scrapbook” to, told me there was nothing to worry about, it wasn’t CP. Thank goodness!
Did the cop at the station want to know where I found this? No. Did he want to know my name? No, though he said I could write down my name if I wanted to. Instead I suggested he read my blog, where I told him I would be writing about this, including publishing the pictures I had documented. He couldn’t have cared less.
After getting brushed off by cops, I talked to someone in the art community who had been in this area recently and, after a ball rolled under a hedge, they found a Dell computer tower hidden in the bushes. A computer tower? No, that isn’t shady at all.
Thankfully, the artist did the considerate thing and decided NOT to pester local law enforcement with the possibility of finding something criminal on Cole Bergquist’s private property. Maybe I should learn to do the same.
In 2018 supporters of Seth Bodnar had to do some damage control for his wife, Chelsea, and the impression that she was deploying her pal, Jim Messina, to help her husband in the monumental task of reversing the student enrollment carnage at the University of Montana. Part of this damage control included going to local media to tell Missoulians that Chelsea never had access to student info.
The University of Montana and the Montana University System stand firmly in support of Dr. Chelsea Bodnar, spouse of University of Montana President Seth Bodnar, for her efforts to assist the university in enhancing its recruiting efforts.
“We were delighted to know Chelsea would be a strong advocate for the University of Montana alongside of Seth when we hired him as President of the University,” Board of Regents Chair Fran Albrecht said. “The University has always had active spouses who contribute in a multitude of ways. Chelsea’s excitement and enthusiasm for increasing enrollment is to be celebrated and commended. She is contributing her time and resources to helping the University of Montana and I am grateful for her commitment and support.”
After trying to positively frame the appearance of spousal overreach as “excitement” and “enthusiasm”, UM’s legal counsel, Lucy France, explained how Chelsea didn’t have data access, and that the University didn’t have a formal relationship with the Messina Group, which represents the kind of people who consulted with Epstein about slipping antibiotics to spouses after getting STDs from Russian hookers.
Chelsea never received student data, nor has any unauthorized person or entity used student data. Lucy France, Legal Counsel at UM, confirms that UM has not shared any data with The Messina Group to date.
“Of course, before we shared anything we would ensure that every protection was in place regarding privacy and compliance with all applicable state and federal laws,” France said. “Chelsea followed the right steps in connecting the appropriate people at the university to explore TMG’s generous offer of assistance.”
The Messina Group is a communications and marketing consultant to Airbnb, ESPN, Google, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and many more clients. Thanks to Chelsea’s friendship with Jim Messina (UM Class of ’93; UM Distinguished Alum Award ’09; UM Commencement Speaker ’13), UM is in a unique position to receive top consulting services at little to no cost. This service will allow the university to recruit more competitively, save money, and reach more potential students. All are needed for UM to thrive.
France–the European nation, not the UM lawyer–is the country where a guy named Olivier Colom is from. Who is Olivier Colom? He’s the French diplomat asking Jeffrey Epstein if he knows Jim Messina. Hmmm.
Last month Politico reported on Olivier Colom’s relationship with Jeffrey Epstein during the year 2013, after Jim Messina helped Barack Obama get reelected. Here’s how Colom was trying to help out his buddy, Jeffrey, 13 years ago:
When Jeffrey Epstein wanted an introduction to former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, he turned to a well-connected friend.
“Id like to meet him,” the disgraced financier wrote to Olivier Colom, a former French diplomat, in October 2013. “If you think fun.”
“I’ll ask,” Colom replied. “He can be fun. And he can speak English now!”
What was Jim Messina’s role as one of Barack Obama’s top 2012 campaign managers? He was the guy who went to Wall Street to assure them Barack Obama was a safe corporate whore who would do NOTHING to challenge the bankster status quo destroying America. That’s who this sniveling piece of shit was sucking off in 2012 before offering the Bodnar’s his “services”.
Jim Messina, one of the president’s top political advisers, met privately with financial services industry executives — big banks, money managers — and promised them Obama will not demonize Wall Street as his reelection efforts unfold. Not demonize Wall Street? Hasn’t that been a consistent theme of the Obama presidency?
Messina provided big donors with a private briefing at the members-only Core Club in Manhattan, a nice perk for the rich and powerful.
While this fealty to the real power controlling America was on display over a decade ago, it’s the Messina Group’s 2024 merger with “Global Counsel” that I find to be the most problematic for the Bodnar’s good friend, Jim.
The Messina Group (TMG) and Global Counsel (GC), two of the world’s leading strategic advisory and policy firms, have announced a global partnership to align their businesses through a minority investment by TMG in GC.
TMG and GC will collaborate to align operations across offices in the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia and to deploy 150 employees globally across several key markets. The global partnership will allow both firms to better serve clients by responding to the growing demand from organizations seeking counsel in increasingly challenging political environments around the world.
Why is this relationship a problem? Just ask Peter Mendelson why and the answer is a resounding JEFFREY EPSTEIN!
A former No 10 aide has quit as chief executive of the influential lobbying firm he co-founded with Peter Mandelson following revelations from the Jeffrey Epstein files.
Ben Wegg-Prosser stepped down on Friday as the head of Global Counsel after emails revealed the extent to which he and Mandselson had involved the convicted child sex offender when they were setting up the company in 2010.
The fallout from the release of the files in the US has triggered a crisis at Global Counsel, which has had close ties to Labour and lobbied the government on behalf of clients including the controversial tech firm and government contractor Palantir.
With all this context in mind, what will candidate Seth Bodnar do? My hunch is nothing, because he doesn’t have to.
I don’t think Kurt Alme will use this line of attack against Seth Bodnar because US Attorneys are the kind of political operators who understand their job is to PROTECT the rich and powerful, not prosecute them. That means if Alme doesn’t make a big deal about any of this, I doubt Montana’s legacy media outlets will take the initiative and ask the questions themselves.
Kurt Alme, as the former state budget director for Governor Oracle (Gianforte), also understands the benefit of having people like Palantir’s Peter Thiel feel comfortable enough in Big Sky Country that he invites some of his “friends”, like Elon and Sam, out to Paws Up for a little R&R in the woods before flying off to the Bilderberg meetup in Sweden. Somehow I don’t think any of this will benefit your average Montanan.
Before I wrap this post up I’m curious if any local readers have some context on our Mayor’s husband and what he does for a living, since there is virtually nothing I can find online about him. Is his name Denison? Is he from Sweden or some other European country? And why does it matter?
As this post shows, spouses can be VERY influential when they have friends like Jim Messina, and Montana seems to have more than a few “teams” of spouses getting involved in politics, so this line of inquiry is one I see to be relevant and it’s one I’m going to pursue, especially considering how another simple house wife is now officially boosting morale for America’s Holy War.
