When I started blogging at 4&20 Blackbirds in 2010 Montana was considered a “purple” state, but that shifted dramatically after corporate Democrats killed the Bernie insurrection in 2016.

Now, the sore loser with a flattop, Jon Tester, wants to rebrand shit-Democrats by creating an independent LARP with Seth Bodnar. Are local liberals stupid enough to buy this bullshit?

University of Montana President Seth Bodnar is expected to run for U.S. Senate as an independent, part of an elaborate plan apparently backed by former U.S. Sen. Jon Tester in a move that has angered Democrats. 

A spokesperson for Bodnar confirmed the plan to Montana Free Press on Tuesday, saying that the president will wait to discuss the election until he’s ready to make a formal announcement. The spokesperson said Bodnar would resign his presidential post to run. 

Seth Bodnar an Independent? That’s rich, especially when you consider how close Bodnar and his wife are to Jim Messina, the tech-guru who got Obama reelected in 2012. For a better idea on the influence of the Messina Group and the state of Montana journalism, here’s a post I published in 2024 wondering why the Montana Free Press was going ga-ga for Jimmy M at their “Free Press Fest”.

I consider most partisans to be retards these days, regardless of party affiliation, because that’s what the evidence shows. For example, here’s the second article of 2026 from The Pulp and it’s about how Americans get their information, but from the perspective of Montana writers getting ripped off by AI.

My favorite excerpt is from Stephanie Land, the writer who used her new-found literary clout a few years ago to threaten Missoula City Council with her writing prowess if they didn’t support open-air drug markets for addicts. Here’s Stephanie now bitching about how people get informed:

“It’s impossible to be a well-informed individual if you’re relying on out-of-state voices. Or voices that are not human, you know, the lived experience,” said Stephanie Land, author of the bestsellers “Maid: Hard Work, Low Pay, and a Mother’s Will to Survive” and “Class: A Memoir of Motherhood, Hunger, and Higher Education,” both of which are eligible for the Anthropic settlement. 

“And first-person narratives and on-the-ground reporting from locals to locals, you know, is really the heart of how we function just as a society. I think it’s tragic to lose that. Because then where are we getting our information from? And who is actually able to spread information?”  

Yes, Stephanie, who is ACTUALLY ABLE TO SPREAD INFORMATION? Is it the people telling you what is ACTUALLY HAPPENING in your community, like I try to do with my unpaid citizen journalism, or is it the silo of liberal retards who put up this adorable little shrine to the dead poet mom who was dumb enough in her rebellion LARP for illegals to get herself shot in the fucking face?

Democrats act very confused about becoming the biggest political losers of the last decade in Montana, so next month I may try to help them by explaining what Hillary and Bill Clinton have done to make their “brand” so very toxic. For a little hint, it has something to do with the subpoena the Clintons are ignoring, and the reality Democrats don’t want to admit, which is that their party is run by people who benefit from human trafficking.

The Clintons were scheduled to testify this week – weeks after the Trump DOJ released volumes of ‘Epstein Files’ – which were highly redacted, yet featured Bill prominently.

The former US president was scheduled to testify today (Jan. 13), and Hillary scheduled for tomorrow. Hours before the deadline, however, the Clintons made it clear in an 8-page letter that they have no intention of showing up – calling subpoenas issued by Comer “invalid and legally unenforceable,” adding that they’ll fight Comer as long as it takes.

The sad reality is that both parties are hopelessly compromised, but the cognitive dissonance, propaganda, and partisan brainwashing is keeping enough citizens fighting each other, as intended, so nothing will change.

Prove me wrong.

I found something in this pile of trash that helps me understand the world I first got introduced to in 2008, when Ellie Boldman (Hill at the time) chose ME to be an Americorps VISTA worker at her humble, non-profit launching pad for a career in state-wide politics. What I found (and confirmed with a street source), puts me directly on the trail of someone in consistent proximity to overdose deaths.

When you follow the flow from this location upstream, on the Blackfoot, you have Paws Up Ranch, the spot where Musk, Thiel and Altman hung out last June. Further north you have the sleepy little community of Seeley Lake, a place I’m thinking about for a specific reason that I’m reflecting on the best way to proceed with.

Part of my reflection is my dire financial position, which I expound on in a video that shows my glorious box truck before the city came and took it away last week. BYE BYE, BOX TRUCK!

Another part of my reflection on moving forward with information giving another strong indication how important this part of America is to the power brokers is…who actually cares? The corruption is so endemic, and partisan rancor so blindingly stupid, and ability to disassociate with memes and endless doom-scrolling so all-consuming to the populace at this point, I’m not sure it’s worth enlarging the target on my back.

The new information is going into the beginning of a new book, for now, but the way in which books get to people these days is a strange and fractured landscape. So far the one post at The Pulp this year is about a woman who wrote a book that leaned to heavily on being about a white guy from history when obviously she could rewrite it with…

At first, Thompson imagined a book that would literally follow De Smet — tracing his movements across North America and Europe. With grant funding, she traveled widely, digging through Jesuit archives in Rome, visiting De Smet’s hometown in Belgium, and working through collections across the United States.

But once she began writing, the project shifted. She wasn’t interested in tracing the path of a single man who had already been extensively, if incompletely, documented. What mattered more was what De Smet represented: a moment of encounter, and the vastly different worldviews that met there.

Letting go of De Smet as the organizing center changed the scale of the book. An early draft ballooned — spanning continents and centuries — until a reviewer urged her to focus. Why not center the Salish, they suggested, and let the other threads move through that lens?

Well, if publishers love the inclusionary market strategy of pedestaling “the other”, then maybe my documented hunch something non-human is lurking in a pattern of depravity across centuries could be sexy enough to actually PAY ME to publish and distribute. Wouldn’t THAT be crazy?

Is Missoula a spook town punching above its weight on the national stage? Yeah, that is definitely one conclusion a reader might come away with, but there are others, so stay tuned for more specific info on how to get an early peek at my book.

I took this picture at an abandoned homeless encampment three miles down the Kim Williams trail, where KPAX reported a body was found two months ago. Why is there no ID of this dead body after two months?

The Missoula Police Department is investigating after a hiker discovered a deceased male near the three-mile marker of the Kim Williams Trail on Wednesday afternoon.

Officers responded to the area just before 3:30 p.m. on November 12 after receiving the report from the hiker who found what appeared to be a body.

MPD’s Detective Division and the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office Coroner are conducting the investigation.

Last Thursday I reminded our three County Commissioners via public comment about this corpse, the lack of information about it, and why I think it’s crazy that the person asking the questions is depicted as the problem.

I have other pictures that I am NOT sharing because I do NOT trust our local authorities anymore. My own co-worker’s death, though briefly treated as a possible homicide, has put me back into a very tenuous situation where it’s clear my rights mean nothing if I don’t have any financial resources to defend myself.

To emphasize how severely I can be defamed by State Reps and political operators with CIA daddies, here are some specific claims about me made by specific people under their real names with apparently zero fear of legal repercussion. I wonder why?

Last week Missoula County gave $10,000 dollars to a Christian organization to help the homeless, but can they actually help?

Calling it a team effort, Missoula County on Tuesday freed up a $10,000 grant to help the Missoula Interfaith Collaborative provide shelter to homeless individuals when winter weather conditions warrant it.

County officials praised the funding as a more cost-effective way to address needs in the homeless population when compared to the cost of building and maintaining a multi-million shelter.

When I worked at the Poverello Center (2008-2016) I had plenty of interactions with well-meaning Christians who just wanted to help, and sometimes they did. Sometimes, though, I would start seeing hints of ulterior motives, and even had to terminate a staff member because he was inappropriately trying to “save” a lesbian client.

The creation of the Missoula Interfaith Collaborative was done with my help, something Casey Dunning should appreciate now that he’s become such a well-established non-profit in a community BURSTING with non-profits, but MIC is different. With their Christian superpowers of forgivingness, I was impressed to see that “Missoula Works” employs JD Partain, the “Christian” man who was arrested and convicted of secretly recording his adopted daughter for his own sexual gratification.

Another red flag person’s situation that I became aware of recently involves a former staff member of the Transitional Safe Outdoor Space (TSOS), run by the Union Gospel Mission.

When April Seat was handing out untraceable gift cards to homeless people, I started hearing rumors about April taking advantage of her position, financially. When April’s son, Dylan, was alleged to be involved in the death of Joey Thompson, I got VERY curious about this “service provider” with a nice sob-story that local Christians LOVE to eat up like its gospel (pun fucking intended).

It was in the post from 2024 where I finally stated that I had sources who claimed the Chaplain of the Missoula County Sheriff’s Office, Lowell Hochhalter, insinuated April and her son were involved in Joey’s death:

Does Lowell REALLY understand limitations, like the limitation of CONFIDENTIAL criminal justice information? No, I don’t think he does, and that’s where his alleged conversation with a member of Joey Thompson’s family comes into play–something I was told about last year by this family member.

What was I told? Well, according to the family member, Lowell told them he thought a woman’s kid was involved in Joey’s death, and that the kid’s mom helped him cover up what happened. Since I’ve heard MORE stories about how this woman may have taken advantage of her position working with vulnerable people at the Transitional Safe Outdoor Space, I’m going to name her AND her kid, who I believe is technically an adult now.

So, what’s April Seat up to now? Are churches, like the River of Life, helping her out, since she’s apparently “contracting” with the Union Gospel Mission now instead of being directly employed?

These posts were later removed, but not before a fellow skeptic of the Homeless Industrial Complex documented them for posterity.

Before I beg YOU READERS for money, there’s one more case I want to mention where a well-meaning Christian woman put herself repeatedly in proximity to a very mentally ill man and, eventually, something bad happened to her. The man was then sent to prison, where bad things happened to HIM. And the result? The largest settlement ever paid out:

From a homeless encampment on the Clark Fork River in Missoula to a private prison in northern Montana, it hasn’t been a pleasant journey for Nathaniel Lake, according to court documents. 

On April 24, a federal jury awarded Lake $27.75 million in damages against CoreCivic, Inc., the private prison company that operates Crossroads Correctional Center in Shelby, Montana.

The verdict concludes a sordid trip through the legal system for Lake, who was convicted of attempted sexual intercourse without consent when he allegedly assaulted a volunteer working to help the homeless in Missoula. 

That conviction was overturned in 2019, a year after Lake was viciously beaten by another inmate at Crossroads. 

If anyone involved in managing Nathan Lake’s money would like to hire me to ghost-write his story, and the larger story of the Homeless Industrial Complex’s failure via EVERY institution, political party, and religion known to man, I’m totally available. Yesterday I recorded an interesting police action at River street and S. Inez in Missoula. Law enforcement appeared to be trying to arrest someone, and I assumed that this person must be dangerous, since I saw two cops prowling around a backyard with shields and guns. Also, near the end of my video, the use of a drone can clearly be seen.

Why?

The woman whose job it is to communicate with the public never responded to my email yesterday, so I’m not sure if anyone was arrested. I’m not even sure if the cops were involved in a real police action. Could this have been a training?

When I asked one of the cops about the drone, he said it was for their safety. Law enforcement is very worried about their safety, I’ve discovered. That’s why those ICE cops shot that woman in the face yesterday, and it’s why those four cops beat up Brandon Bryant. They are terrified, apparently.

The local use of drones was reported on in 2024, when that communication specialist who can’t respond to MY emails had this to say to the media:

Public Information Officer Whitney Bennett explained the police department’s plans for using drones. “So we plan on utilizing the drone program and our drones for multiple different purposes. As of right now, since we’re kind of in our beginning stages of having a successful drone program, we’re using it for more right now if there’s a fatal accident and getting aerial view of what’s going on,” Bennett said.

Training Officer Mike Thurlow described how the drone technology aids in rescue operations. “We have a screen that we can actually see things on. So the incident commander or somebody that’s running the rescue can say hey, freeze there, zoom in on that. So yeah, it’s pretty easy for us to fly. Technology has made it that way. So, so yeah, the more eyes on something like that. And on that TV screen, the better, for whatever we’re doing,” Thurlow said.

The cops yesterday were NOT trying to “rescue” someone, nor were they viewing a traffic accident. They had guns, shields, at least a half-dozen cop cars, and a bullhorn giving commands to what I assume was an unseen assailant. Hmmm.

When I spoke to someone at a local news station after I returned to my apartment a few blocks away, the reporter hadn’t heard anything come through on the police scanner. That’s when I started thinking this might have been a training.

How else can we keep our terrified law enforcers safe? I know!
