Selling Black Men And A White Girl On Tax Day

by Travis Mateer

I finished up my impromptu art residency outside the Radius Gallery on Sunday, but not before trying to make some money by selling black men and a white girl for money. Did anyone buy my Tupac? Or my Kobe? Or my Chuck D? No, sadly, I didn’t sell any black men, or even a white girl, despite my best efforts at promoting what I had to offer.

What is the TRASH ALCHEMIST going to do today? I think I’ll spend some quality morning time in front of our County Courthouse with my mobile spectacle, then I may head over to check out the STATE OF THE COMMUNITY, which is put on by City Club. Doesn’t that sound like fun?

City Club Missoula is sponsoring the State of the Community address on Monday.

Mayor Andrea Davis, County Commissioner Dave Strohmaier, and UM President Seth Bodnar will discuss the challenges and opportunities in Missoula and comment on the state of our shared community.

The event takes place at 11 a.m. at the DoubleTree Missoula – Edgewater located at 100 Madison St.

Yes, I think this will definitely be an event that the TRASH ALCHEMIST will be compelled to attend. Now, what should I wear to make a good impression? And should I bring my megaphone?

Tune in tomorrow to see what kind of trouble I get myself into. Don’t worry, I think my invisibility helmet will keep me under their radar.

Tune in tomorrow because I’ll be writing about the best place in Missoula to take a prostitute to–call it the STATE OF OUR SEX INDUSTRY report.
