If You Didn’t Know Killer Republicans Were Trying To Kill You, Just Give Don Pogreba A Couple Of Bucks And He’ll Tell You All About It

by William Skink

I get that Montana Democrats know a thing or two about death, having recently been slaughtered at the ballot box in every single state-wide race by double-digits, but does that warrant its shrill mouthpiece LARPing as reporters claiming Republicans are killing Americans and Montanans every day?

I am especially worried about all the people who handed Republicans in Montana such decisive victories. Do these people know they voted for killers who might kill them? Or are they ALSO KILLERS, rampaging across the blood-red killing fields of rural Montana, bare-faced and frothing for their Trumpifier to suck on?

In this dire situation of life and death, with death being dealt exclusively by Republicans, how are Democrats going to defend themselves? They don’t have guns, political power, or a uniform at the other end of a 911 call willing to come to their rescue.

So what are they going to do?

One idea is to solicit funds so they can hire free lance writers so they can get the word out on social media that Montana Republicans are trying to kill Montanans. I need to take some notes on how to make an eloquent money-ask like this:

If we can increase the support to our site, I plan to pay for more freelance writers who can dig into the stories that just don’t get covered. If you haven’t already, chip in a few bucks a month to our site, and we’ll put the money to good use. If you’re nervous about a monthly commitment, just donate to Patreon once and cancel right away after.

If you can’t afford to support our work–and we absolutely know times are tough for so many of you–become active about sharing our posts. Follow us on FacebookTwitter, and Instagram and share posts with people you think might be better informed if they read our coverage.

Wow, powerful stuff. And here I had to move MY DONATION ASK to my about page because the formatting screwed with my sidebar widget.

If I survive the efforts of Republicans to kill me, I will put any donations toward fortifying our liberal stronghold against the Republigoth hordes clamoring at our gates to murder us with their stupidity and indifference.

As we enter this DARK WINTER, may the light of Joe Biden shine like a beacon of hope and change that you can definitely this time totally believe in.

As my grandma once told me, “If you don’t have anything nice to say about anybody, get a job in government and start a blog for all your hateful friends to give you money, cause your government job with 4 months off a year and Cadillac benefits obviously isn’t enough to satisfy your greed or hate.”

I keep waiting for Don to post that COVID-19 was a Republican plot to kill minorities and gays.

“People with HIV who are hospitalized for COVID-19 have a significantly heightened risk of 28-day mortality compared with people without HIV.”-Dr. Anna Geretti

  3. Pete Talbot says:

There’s a surging pandemic (both statewide and nationally), a potential economic crisis, a maniacal president who refuses to move on (assisted by Trump sycophants like Montana Sen. Steve Daines), a Republican-controlled Montana legislature, PSC and Land Board with a Republican governor at the helm (meaning veto-proof, alt-right legislation). That means we can say goodbye to Medicaid expansion, environmental regulations, women’s choice and LGBTQ protections, decent funding for our public education institutions, and the dismantling of unions; and we can say hello to more tax cuts for the rich. Yet, Skink continues to focus on and spill ink over a part-time Montana blogger. Keep up the good work.

    • thank you for exhibiting in comment form what you guys do so repetitively at THE MONTANA POST: focus on a selective list of problems and ascribe 100% blame to Republicans.

it’s actually much worse than your list reflects, and won’t be solved by a dementia patient and a heartless prosecutor, but don’t let that change the cut of your jib.

Pete, is there any limit to the losing Montana Democrats are willing to put up with in order to push a national agenda that, I think, is just a smidgen unpopular?

if you can’t tell, I’m trying to use language that might appeal to you and the other fossils gripping the reigns of control over “progressive” politics in the BIG SKY.

      is it working?

      • Pete Talbot says:

If you’re not concerned about the upcoming Montana legislative session or Land Board recommendations or PSC decisions and how they will affect Montanans, especially those on the margins, there is no point in continuing this conversation.

  4. Dennis Flagen says:

Pete and Don seem to be missing that actually many of us believe two strong vibrant political parties are important for success in our democracy. The horse long ago left the barn so Don and Pete ranting and raving against the GOP all of the legislative session isn’t going to change one thing. The GOP in Montana said exactly what they were going to do when in total power. Many of us begged Montana Democrat Party to change course as they continued to lose elections and offices on state levels. But they continued listening to National party and continued to run Identity Politics campaigns. The State Leadership of Montana Democrat Party hasn’t said anything regarding their total wipe out in 2020. The need a long term plan to win but I won’t hold my breath on that.

    • Big Swede says:

The problem is in order to win a Democratic candidate must bow to the ultra libs in order to fund their candidacies. What was Bullocks source of funding? I heard over 94% out of state contributions.

Fake groups like “MT HUNTERS and ANGLERS” aren’t really going to support someone with a A rating from the NRA. LGBTQ support groups would close their wallets to a moderate Dem who doesn’t think biological born boys should shower with born girls. You also assume any one who supports high paying (often union) natural resource jobs wouldn’t get funded either.

So basically MT Dems are locked into running out of touch fringe contestants or lose the money race.
