This poem is spot on. I am a 71 year old retired ER nurse and have unfortunately to much time on my hands due to health issues thanks to Dow Chemical and US Government with exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. My mind is great but not my body so can no longer work so get to view much to much TV. As I got up this morning turn the tube on and more wall to wall Russia with contempt hearings on every so called news channels. I read a lot and I didn’t see or hear a word on the mid-west flooding until visiting with a friend that has farmer relatives in Nebraska. I had to search high and low to find much information about it. I think the democrats have already lost the 2020 election with this Russia obsession as the votes they need to get back in mid-America don’t care about it or now just tune it out. The only time the cable networks interrupted their Russia all things Russia was last month for two days when the Cathedral of Notre-Dame burnt. I guess it isn’t very important that huge areas of the mid-west will not be planting a crop and countless farmers may fail. Of course most people think our food comes from the back rooms of Walmart,Safeway or Whole Foods. I wish I could get a Canadian TV station maybe get some real news. Oh how I wish for the days of Huntley-Brinkley or Walter Cronkite but that is so old school real news and not everyone’s opinion.
