You Need To Understand Why This Is Their Omaha Beach – by Travis Mateer

I know this isn’s easy, MAGA world, but you need to really LISTEN to Nick Bryant because Nick Bryant knows his shit. Here’s what I’m talking about:

Journalist Nick Bryant notes in this viral clip from the Shawn Ryan podcast that the Jeffrey Epstein case is being covered up by the federal government and will never progress because it would destroy their entire operational system.

“Epstein had cameras in all of his homes. Epstein was definitely a blackmail artist,” Bryant notes.

“The government wants to make sure that that does not come out. A huge part of our political system is predicated on blackmail,” he adds.

“If that dark, malignant corner of the intelligence that is using blackmail against our politicians and other people, if they were using children, that would make the American people erupt,” Bryant further urges.

He continues, “For that dark corner of intelligence, this is Omaha Beach. They’re not going to give an inch.”

To make this harsh reality easier to accept, especially after Trump’s embarrassing reaction to legitimate questions about Epstein where he disgustingly used the tragedy in Texas in a futile attempt to shield himself and his piece of shit government from scrutiny, I’ve written some rhymes and added some chords. Here are the lyrics if you want to sing along:

The 100 Million Dollar Hotel Vs. The Growing Body Count – by Travis Mateer

The scheduling seemed strategic. Who wants to sit in a boardroom talking TIF policy helping hotel developers on the Monday after the 4th of July weekend besides the people who are going to benefit from it?

How about the citizen journalist who has been covering this LONG effort to develop this parcel of prime real estate for the past 5 years?

My unscripted commentary in this tiny boardroom was a reminder that not every citizen in this stupid town appreciates the damage done to the general fund by our shadow government, the MRA. I specifically called out the impact on law enforcement who, I argued, is ALREADY not up to the task of dealing with the mounting body count of unexplained deaths I’m bringing attention to with this little handbill:

This is the flyer I referenced in my comment as the window of the boardroom framed my view of the Homeless Outreach Team van I once drove when I established that program over a decade ago. When I made my exit, cackling at Checota’s failed attempt to scheme himself into the convention center obsession of our previous Mayor, John Engen, you can hear a voice speak up, saying to the quiet boardroom, “Welcome to Missoula”.

Another reference I made was to the strategy of “land-banking” that MRA used to justify buying a shitty motel for TOO MUCH money, then demolishing it. My assessment? FAIL!

For a better idea of what I mean when I use their stupid term, “land-banking”, here’s some city-funded propaganda that comes with “local press” laundered accolades describing the “fruit” of land-banking:

When it comes to opposing the demoralizing actions of an unelected shadow government hell-bent on strengthening and expanding its tentacles, the body count is the clear underdog when going up against a 100 million dollar hotel, but if I know anything from my pop-culture programming, it’s that the public almost ALWAYS cheers for the underdog.

For a final chuckle, here’s the gelded Nugent going to the social medias to cheerlead for this project:

And here’s my response:

On Why American Money Pissing Off Locals In Mexico Should Concern Locals In Missoula – by Travis Mateer

A recent story about immigration caught my attention because it’s not the kind of immigration story Americans are used to hearing about, since the immigrants perceived as causing the disruptive problem ARE, in many cases, Americans. This counter-flow of cultural wimps fleeing the states with their money to live in Mexico is impacting local Mexican neighborhoods in the ways money ALWAYS impacts localities that become popular—it’s fucking it up for those who serve the ex-pats their lattes and happy hour margaritas. This simmering local discontent recently flared up into a protest and overt acts of violence. Should our local officials be paying attention?

Yes, I think they should, but they won’t, just like I assume they won’t be receptive to the notion that we live amongst killers stacking up bodies around out state like poker chips. We don’t get our progress without a few bumps in the road, right? So, displacing the poors and protecting killers might have to be taken as unavoidable consequences that come along with developing our valley in accordances with the dictates of wealth.

Later today the Missoula Redevelopment Agency will be making a decision on whether or not to support the new 100 million dollar hotel project announced recently by our Harvard-educated Mayor, Andrea Davis. I have no doubt the money cogs at MRA are ecstatic over this project, but what about the MRA should inspire confidence in we, the plebes? Has the strategy of “land-banking” produced any results? Or, perhaps, are giant tracts of land STILL under-utilized, like the dirt where the Sleepy Inn once stood, or the former library.

Another chunk of property downtown recently went on the market-the Adventure Cycling property. This will be added to the vacant square-feet already on the market, like the Aaron Wagner con-job where the Missoulian once published its sad little propaganda rag, a building where current owner, Cole Bergquist, doesn’t give a shit enough about our community (because he lives in California) to even mow the fucking lawn.

Meanwhile, at the County Fairgrounds, where a dumbass threw a party for Missoula, our amazing County-led by another politician thinking Harvard is the answer to lackluster leadership-will be facing litigation over the inability to honor a contract. Go get ’em, Rhino!

Attorneys for Rhinoceros, Inc. (the owners of The Rhino) filed a complaint and demand for jury trial in Missoula County District Court in late May. They named the plaintiffs as Missoula County, Always On, LLC (the Zootown Festival’s promoter), The Press Box Restaurant, Sports Bar and Casino, and five anonymous individuals.

The Rhino alleges they have a signed “catering agreement” with Missoula County to be the exclusive alcohol vendor for any events occurring at the Fairgrounds, which is managed by the County. Under that contract, the Rhino gets to collect 45% of all gross alcohol sales.

The Rhino alleges that despite this, the County and the Zootown Festival’s promoter pressured The Rhino to accept a deal for far less money, 5% of net alcohol revenue. When The Rhino’s owners refused, they allege, Missoula County and the concert promoter chose to work with The Press Box as the alcohol concessionaire to service the festival.

While I’ve done my best to educate locals about the skim-and-give scheme of Tax Increment Financing, making a LONG documentary that kicked so much ass, it was blocked from being publicly shown by local gatekeepers, I’ve come to appreciate the version of the Hegelian Dialectic our local leaders rely on to stay relevant, and that’s the PROBLEM/REACTION/SOLUTION dynamic that sees MRA contribute to the problem of sky-rocketing housing costs, then, incredulously is selected by our Harvard braintrust to lead the solution by funding “workforce” housing for the “missing middle”.

I tried, Missoula.

Since housing is too far gone now to make a dent on the propaganda-led actions of our elected leaders, I’m shifting my focus on the big dirty secret no one relying on tourist money wants to talk about, but I’ll save THAT topic for another day.

I Deal With People, Not Movements – by Travis Mateer

I was talking to two city staff on the Higgins Bridge yesterday when the person who previously yelled at me from the window on NO KINGS day started yelling at me after walking by on the bridge.

This aggressive asshole is correct that I am NOT an ally of his movement or ANY movement because I don’t do that shit. Instead I refer to myself as a “hyper-localist” because it’s the best way for a citizen journalist to operate in a relatively small, VERY corrupt town.

What this means is I talk to people as PEOPLE and NOT as some cog in an astro-turfed distraction-op. If you want to ACT like a cog in an astro-turfed distraction-op, that’s up to you, but my patience is virtually non-existent for that waste of energy.

Readers of this blog know my energy is directed at corruption wherever I think it exists in this state and, with all the information I continue gathering using my signature echo-location style of shit-talking, this week’s post about some pretty sketchy law men inspired me to up my personal security.

Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to introduce you to Cyclops Luigi. Yeah, who’s gonna fuck with me now?

How retarded is Missoula?

Well, we are sending another politician to Harvard, we are scratching our head about who should “fix” the fake wave for surfers (meaning, who pays), we are hearing the multi-modal dumb-shits push for a downtown walking mall while at the same time hearing about the 100 million dollar pipe dream of a hotel while seeing more buildings go on the markets and the parking Nazis lusting for parking meters to murder the Hip Strip.

To the discerning eye, it would appear Missoula is terminally retarded.

Oh well. At least there will be expensive music and lots of people forcing their fun from whatever liquid and/or drug form they can find.

Happy fucking birthday, America!
