Why wait for tomorrow to share a poem I just wrote today?
NO MORE
no more bonds
no more TIF
no more consultants
on the taxpayer tit
no more studies
no more talk
your empty words
can’t walk the walk
the camps are growing
and vehicular homes
and food bank needs
and emergency loans
while you zoom it in
to virtually shrug
over lack of tools
and mean state thugs
no more excuses
why things get worse
no accountability
with the public purse
no more bridges
or roach motels
an alarm is blaring
not whistles and bells
but you cannot hear it
in your teflon shell
in your bubble world
from which you tell
the rest of us
how things will be
butterflies get homes
people, disease
