If you find reality disheartening and you want to pretend that Covid-19 will ultimately be a gift to mankind, I have a poem for you.

No, not one of my depressing poems. Those are downers, man.

Instead read some lovely verses from Tom Roberts poem, titled THE GREAT REALIZATION.

Who is Tom Roberts? It doesn’t matter. He is young, good looking, and works in the film industry in London. Also, celebrities have been sharing this on Twitter, and CNN did a story on it, so you know it must be important.

Here are some of his lines:

…And with the sky less full of planes, the earth began to breathe.
And the beaches brought new wildlife that scattered off to the seas

Some people started dancing, some were singing, some were baking.
We’d grown so used to bad news but some good news was in the making.j

And so when we found the cure and were allowed to go outside,
We all preferred the world we found to the one we’d left behind
