Why Can’t Sara Quit Me? And How Many Of My Kids Will Go To School This Week?

by Travis Mateer

I’m hoping to get an answer to the first question posed in the title of this post. For context, I finally called the Health Department on Friday, October 1st, after receiving texts from the Sara Alert system for the entire month of September.

I was a close contact of my middle child, who tested positive for Covid on September 1st, so I got the Sara texts, and I kept getting them, so I kept answering to see how long this charade would continue.

The woman I spoke with at the Health Department was supposed to get these texts to stop. At least, that’s what she said she would do, but either she didn’t do what she said she would, or it didn’t work.

Tim Adams posed a fantastic question to me as we ate lunch on Friday. Does receiving these texts indicate I’m an “active” case? When someone finally calls me back from the Health Department, that will be one question I’ll be sure to ask.

The answer to the second question in the title of today’s post is 2. My little girl will be having her SIXTH day of in-person learning this year, while my oldest will be at home for THE ENTIRE WEEK. Apparently 8th grade is being so heavily impacted by Covid cases at Target Range, the entire grade will be remote learning this week.

While I watch my kids struggle through isolation from their peers and the general day-to-day uncertainty about their future, the National School Board Association (NSBA) is begging Biden to send the FBI after people like me because not being happy about mask mandates and expressing my unhappiness to school board members means I’m clearly a right-wing domestic terrorist.

The National School Boards Association, which represents more than 90,000 school officials, “begged” President Biden on Wednesday for FBI and Secret Service agents to help protect against “mobs” of angry parents protesting the mandates, according to the Daily Mail.

The NSBA wrote a letter asking the government to stand up against “mobs of angry parents”, labeling them “domestic terrorism” and “extremist hate organizations”.

It’s almost funny reading this shit after experiencing the mobs of happy abortion supporters on Saturday. One group of young women who engaged with us crazy anti-maskers were especially happy to inform us how stupid we were. They were doctors, they told us (college students, I think) and they seemed a little miffed when I started talking about Myocarditis.

My favorite part was what they said as they walked away: SEE YOU IN THE ICU!!! they shouted as they cackled with glee.

While these medical students who will one day take the Hippocratic Oath expressed their hope that I will get sick and require medical attention in the ICU, other female supporters of abortions were making compelling arguments about the men holding signs having small dicks.

If these people want to wear masks for the rest of their lives while taking the monthly booster shot, fine, that is their choice.

What I want is THE SAME THING supporters of abortions were out in force to claim as their right: bodily autonomy to make our own health decisions.

But, thanks to the powerful influence of propaganda, the right to abort a pregnancy is seen by these people as good and noble, while the right to say no to a vaccine is right-wing domestic terrorism.

That is fucking crazy, but it’s the world we live.

If you haven’t already, please consider donating money to the legal fight to protect parental rights. It’s been 18 days since the last donation, and there’s still lots of money that needs to be raised for challenging this bullshit in court.

Thanks for reading.

Bob Funk’s Priorities And Pumpkins To Disappear Homeless Campers

by Travis Mateer

Before getting to the wonderful priorities of Bob Funk, the Communications Director for the Montana Federation of Public Employees, I wanted to give RD readers a link to my first piece published at Missoula County Tyranny, titled How Many Pumpkins Does It Take To Disappear A Homeless Camper From Cedar Street?

The answer is ten, but you have to click the link to read about how I arrived at that number.

Now, on to the priorities of Bob Funk, who recently reacted to a display of resistance in Helena like this:

While Bob was busy getting all morally righteous about the assholes displayed in the image above, a local Missoula teen was getting the societal benefit of having one of Bob’s public union employees allegedly grooming him for a sexual experience. From the link:

Hellgate Elementary School teacher Scott Hamilton has been taken into custody on charges of Attempted Sexual Abuse of Children and Sexual Abuse of Children- Possession of Material.

Missoula Police Department received information regarding the alleged offenses and immediately opened an investigation. The Investigation is being led by Detective J. Harris who is part of Montana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, ICAC.

Here is a screen shot of the teacher who allegedly wanted to give a teenage boy the benefit of his sexual experience:

What does Bob Funk think of this? I’m guessing for legal reasons, he won’t say a goddamn thing about it, because this is one of the employees Bob has a professional duty to protect.

Now, for a little more context on Bob Funk, here’s an old post from Greg Strandberg. From the link:

From what I can tell, Bob Funk was born on November 18, 1987. That makes him 28 years old and has been working in Helena over by the McHugh Trailer Court since February. Before that he was down in Colorado, working on the 2008 campaign of Jared Polis, “the first openly gay man to be elected to a first term in Congress.”

It was clear to party operatives that Funk had some skills, and they quickly sent him off to a key battleground state…or one they figured they didn’t have a chance in, depending on how you want to look at it. Yep, that was up in Alaska, and Funk was soon working on the campaign of Mark Begich, who he helped win. That was a big deal, because it knocked out Republican Ted Stevens, who’d been the longest serving member of the Senate to that time.

You’ll find a lot of good information on Montana’s Bob Funk on the Evergreen College website. That’s the Olympia, Washington, school that Funk went to. He graduated in 2009. That’s right – he had to go back to school after that exciting election year. It was a bummer, but after the work he did in 2008, Funk was awarded with an executive assistant position for Senator Tester.

So, in conclusion, Bob Funk is just another Democrat operative spending time on Twitter mocking the resistance to public school policies while one of the employees of his union is trying to fuck teen boys.

If this is the kind of “societal benefit” Bob’s public schools are providing kids, I suggest parents consider the alternatives.

I know I am.

Their Body And Their Hypocritical Choice

by Travis Mateer

A powerful display of hypocrisy is happening right now on the Missoula County courthouse lawn as I type these words. People who support terminating pregnancies are out in force to protect their right to choose for themselves whether or not wombs can be life-baking ovens or tombs.

I took my megaphone out to briefly gauge whether or not MY right to NOT GET VAXXED is something these pro-choice people support, and guess what. THEY DO NOT.

I was approached by a delegation of concerned looking people wearing their virtue-signaling face fabrics. The lead hypocrite turned out to be Marilyn Marler, a former council person who moved her political career to the state.

Yep, that’s the face of a woman who thinks rights, like bodily autonomy, are only for her liberal tribe. Want to end a growing life? Cool, no problem. Want to keep a needle from injecting shit into your body? DOMESTIC TERRORIST!

I am impressed that the vast majority of people who love themselves some abortions can’t extend that bodily autonomy concept to the unvaxxed.

Also, it makes me sad to think of all the abortions happening right now. Those babies could be born, could get vaxxed, and therefore help the humanitarian pharmaceutical companies save the world.

But instead, these selfish people are killing babies and keeping them from entering this fantastic world where immunity is now a service provided by corporations and not something you are inherently born with.

Thanks Marilyn, I’m glad you’re out there fighting for your rights, but next time you approach me, you might want to remember social distancing rules, considering I’m an unmasked, unvaxxed bio-medical threat.

Staying Sara Alert In Missoula

by Travis Mateer

Over the past month I have grown quite fond of Sara Alert. Every day she texts me asking me how I feel. Do I have symptoms? No, Sara, I don’t, but I DO have some concerns that I put into a song, which you can listen if you’d like.

I have been responding to the Sara Alert system ever since my middle kid tested positive for Covid on September 1st. The rest of my family is now done with Sara, but not me. For some reason my texts just keep coming, day after day, despite never having had ONE conversation with anyone from the Health Department.

So what is Sara Alert? It’s a technological product created by the Mitre Corporation described like this:

Sara Alert™ is a standards-based, open source tool that automates the process of public health monitoring and reporting of individuals exposed to or infected with COVID-19 or any infectious disease. It was developed by public health experts for public health.

And here is some context for the Mitre Corporation:

The MITRE Corporation was chartered in 1958 as a private, not-for-profit company to provide engineering and technical guidance for the federal government. Since then, MITRE has operated at the intersection of advanced technology and vital national concerns. We’ve grown to serve a variety of government agencies at the highest levels through the operation of federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs).

The company’s initial focus was on the continental air defense project called the Semi-Automated Ground Environment (SAGE). SAGE relied on the first digital computers to link radar stations, weapons systems, and military decision makers in near real time.

Cool stuff. I wonder if any Mitre products or services were responsible for our amazing defensive response to the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

Anyway, while I’m glad Sara texts me every day asking me how I’m feeling, it IS starting to get a little old, so maybe it’s time to call the Health Department to see if I’m supposed to report to Sara indefinitely.

What I’m trying to say is that I think it’s time to break up, Sara. It’s not you, it’s me. I appreciate your concern for my physical health, but it’s time for this relationship to end.

We will always have the memories of our long September together and the hope that one day our kids can go back to in-person learning.
