The firing of James Comey will be good for non-stop news coverage for the next couple of news cycles. Does anyone actually believe the reason Comey was fired was because of how he handled Hillary’s email scandal?
Democrats who blame Comey for Hillary’s loss won’t be celebrating this surprising move because the stated rationale is so obviously not the real rationale. Instead, the Russophobia is going to be ramped up even more.
So, what will come of this move? Will an independent prosecutor take over the investigation into Russian ties to Trump associates? Will the news cycle have any room for, say, the “serious situation” at the Washington nuclear facility in Hanford?
I guess we’ll just have to stay tuned to our distraction devices for the latest update. Maybe that’s the point of this political charade.

Comey’s firing is nothing more than Trump’s continued consolidation of power. Not that the power is his, but is done for the elements that are powering his administration. All the surface noise is just another smokescreen and creates the opportunity to eject any who don’t toe the line. Such is the way of fascism.

Comey deserved to be fired.
He is way too political, and liked making news too much. He had about as much trustworthiness as Hillary.
Plus, I don’t think he was investigating the Obama regime yet for spying on their political opponents. (ex: Susan Rice demanding to know who on the Trump team was surveilled and what they were talking about) .
Yeah, Robert Mueller was such a great FBI Chief. 9/11 and all, he really rocked it and got to the bottom of the matter! lol
He may well have gotten to the bottom of it, but he didn’t tell us if he did.
I’m sure Mueller will do a fine job of investigating Trump & Co. lol
